Deep Dive Intensive: Holding Grief, Ethics & Energetic Boundaries

Service Description

Grief will be in the room, whether it's a sitting or a demonstration — this Intensive teaches you how to meet it fully without making it yours to carry. WHAT THIS INTENSIVE IS This is the second craft-dimension Intensive, and it addresses a real gap: the mechanics of running a sitting are covered elsewhere, but the relational and ethical side of sustaining this work over years is not. You'll work directly with the practice of caring for both the sitter and the person in the spirit world, empathizing fully in the moment, and letting it pass through you rather than holding onto it at all — because it was never yours to carry. You'll also work through where the ethical line sits around what is and isn't appropriate to say to a sitter, and how to stay a clear, steady channel across a full sitting and teaching career. This Intensive is as much about longevity as it is about any single reading. It's for mediums who are already doing the work — sittings, demonstrations, teaching — and want a deliberate, teacher-led framework for doing it sustainably, with the same care and rigor the Whole Medium Approach brings to the evidence itself. WHAT YOU'LL PRACTICE • Caring for both the sitter and the person in the spirit world, with real empathy that never becomes your own emotion to carry • Letting a sitter's grief pass through you in the moment rather than holding onto it at all • Ethical boundaries: what belongs in a reading, and what doesn't • Handling emotionally difficult content (sudden loss, suicide, trauma) with care • Staying a clear, steady channel sitting after sitting • Designing a sustainable pace across a sitting/teaching career WHO THIS IS FOR Students who've already put in the study and practice to hold a steady connection with the spirit world and communicate with them confidently — this Intensive isn't a first exposure to the work — and are actively doing sittings, demonstrations, or teaching, and want a deliberate framework for the emotional and ethical side of the work, not just the mechanics. WHY THIS TRAINING IS DIFFERENT This is the Whole Medium Approach — taught only by Mavis Pittilla's Authorized Teachers, so this exact methodology isn't available outside that lineage of certified teachers. Capped at 14 students working in guided pairs with direct teacher feedback, it's real mentored learning, not a lecture you sit through.
